Oct 15th weekend run with Chennai Runners turned out to be a good Run with a lot of new runners joining the group.
We met at C.P. Ramaswamy road and did a 5 kms run till Anna University. Few more joined us there and we did 3 more laps of 2.2 miles each around the campus. We ended up with a speed interval on the track. we did a total distance of 15 kms and the new Runners showed a lot of enthusiasm with most of them wanting to participate in the Mumbai marathon on Jam 2007.
Found out speed intervals result in increase in pace in your long run and endurance too. Planning to do speed intervals every Wednesday of 10*800 mts
